Gallery 16 - Jan- Apr

Unsettled weather and cyclones during February , March resulted in a number of charters being delayed and rescheduled. This is typical of the late summer, early autumn months in tropical Queensland. Of course there were some perfect days during this period but it was not until April and May that we got back into full swing with regular charters. With winter approaching, the weather should be much more settled resulting in excellent fishing conditions on the reef in coming months. The days are still very warm and and sunny and nights are mild with only a very slight early morning chill. These are great times to visit Agnes Water and Town of 1770 on the Coral Coast, particularly if you are suffering the colder winters down south. Fishing the southern Great Barrier Reef is great all year round but is particularly good through the late autumn, winter and spring period.

Recent charters over the last months from January to April still delivered some great catches. There were good catches of the usual reds - red emperor and coral trout, and also plenty of mackeral and tuna to be had. Below are some pictures of recent trips from January to April.
